gsw_latentheat_evap_t

latent heat of evaporation

Contents

USAGE:

latentheat_evap_t = gsw_latentheat_evap_t(SA,t,p)

DESCRIPTION:

Calculates latent heat of evaporation of water from seawater
(isobaric evaporation enthalpy) with in-situ temperature, t, as
input temperature at p = 0 (the surface). It is defined as a
function of Absolute Salinity, SA, and in-situ temperature, t,
and is valid in the ranges 0 < SA < 40 g/kg and 0 < CT < 42 deg C.
The errors range between -0.4 and 0.6 J/kg.

latent heat of evaporation.

INPUT:

SA  =  Absolute Salinity                                        [ g/kg ]
t   =  in-situ temperature                                     [ deg C ]
SA & t need to have the same dimensions.

OUTPUT:

latentheat_evap_t  =  latent heat of evaporation                [ J/kg ]

EXAMPLE:

SA = [34.7118; 34.8915; 35.0256; 34.8472; 34.7366; 34.7324;]
t =  [28.7856; 28.4329; 22.8103; 10.2600;  6.8863;  4.4036;]
latentheat_evap_t = gsw_latentheat_evap_t(SA,t)
